Activities and Disciplines

Individual segments of application lifecycles can be categorized in many ways. For our purposes, "Activities" are a series of related actions to perform a goal along the application lifecycle. These activies are broad and encapsulate many different actions. Disciplines recognize a series of best practices and processes around a group of activites.

In actuality, nearly every discipline touches every activity to some extent. The following table summarizes the most prominent areas in which ALM Disciplines are directly related to ALM Activities.
