Change Management

Change Management prompts you to ask:

  • How am I tracking
    changes to my application?
  • Can I recreate any version
    of my application?
  • Can I verify change
    management compliance?

Change Management, also known as Configuration Management, is focused on tracking changes in the software and systems over time.  Change Management techniques are used to create and store revisions of software and also can be used to reproduce a version of the software at any point in its evolution.  Many organizations has specific legislative or corporate requirements for submitting and tracking changes to systems; Change Management helps teams verify compliance.  Good change management practices allow you to control and recreate versions of both complex and simple systems.
