Requirements Management

Notion manages requirements with Team Foundation Server. The requirements workflow has specifically been created to empower the client to be able to provide direction to the team, maximize productivity, and manage change efficiently. Some of the benefits of how Notion manages requirements include:

  • Client Control - The requirements approval process is specifically architected so that clients have full control over project direction. A full audit trail of requirements is kept so that the project team can see how a requirement evolved since it was initially captured.
  • Work management – All requirements, risks, tasks and defects are processed through Team Foundation Server and can be created, edited, and viewed by the client at any time.
  • Traceability – Relationships between requirements, the tasks and bugs they relate to, and related source code is managed so the team has a full picture of the work that resulted from a project requirement.
  • Change Management – All new requirements and change requests are entered into Team Foundation Server and are estimated prior to approval. An impact analysis is immediately generated so that clients and the project team can understand the schedule, resource, and quality impact.
